MARCH To JUNE 2010 

This was a much tougher trading session than the previous reporting period. With JANUARY seeing a 30% profit for Forex Pro it was a grand start to 2010.
What followed was a very volatile forex market in March, April & May with each month being either Break Even or losses. As any good trader there are good trading months and bad ones. This trading session proved to be quite a collection of bad clusters combined with Fx market volatility.

March 2010 was a small loss of 2% on the account overall.

April was a loss of 4% on the account overall trading Fx.

May was another loss of 3% on the account for Forex Pro.

June is back in profits sitting at 11%!

July is  in a profit of 86% as at 26th July 2010. 

September is in a profit of 7% as at 17th Sept.

History of  Forex Day Trading online

It all started a long long time ago in a place far far away... Money was exchanged in a barter system between a buyer and seller for goods. The trouble came when one seller and buyer from different places exchanged different types of money. How much is your money worth versus mine?

So, I can give you one of my Krona for your goat but I cant say whether you will be able to use it back in your home town. How much would I have to pay for a goat in your money then? If said it would cost the guy 2 Butthen we had a market for our different money and the goods being bartered for was one goat. The goat however carried different values depending on where you were from and whose money you held in your hand.

From China to Croatia to England there has been bartering for goods in gold, silver and spices even. But there usually was some base that the market was determined by. It didn't always have to be about the money however. Indirect markets were created whereby silk was traded for spices and then traded again back into gold. The study of this occurence goes back all the way to the ancient times. More recently however, the Portuguese and Dutch traders used the spice and silk trade as ways to barter for gold. Gold being the base with which all worth or value was pegged!

So it was for a very long time, centuries to say the least. Then it just so happened that these markets, including Forex markets, become intelligent. And politicans became intelligent too (one may argue) and they decided to take gold out of the equation as the major base value against many currencies were pegged to relative to the US Dollar.

In 1970s, Nixon decided to do away with the gold standard, the peg to the value of gold for the dollar, and introduce paper money. This paper money is basically pegged to nothing of value other than the perceived worth of the GDP of the country it belongs to. If the country's GDP is strong then it is perceived that the currency is strong and worth more compared to another country's currency which is not strong or is underproductive. Other factors are alos considered in the value of a country's money or currency in respect of what it is equal to when compared to the same goods and services of another country. Refer to the story of the goat above.

Up until only recently, big investment institutions and brokers and banks could afford to enter and trade in the Forex Markets. The entry level was way above the average Joe's capital. It used to be that you could only open an account with a minimum of $100, 000 in your account. The minimum lot sizes used to be massive as well. 

Suffice to say, the Forex Market opened up to Joe Blog type traders like you and me about 10 years ago in South Africa and about 15-18 years ago in the USA. We can now trade Forex for as little as $30 if you wanted to. You just choose an micro account and do all the paper work and deposit your $30 and away you go. When you make money online day trading Forex you make about $0.01c per pip or point it goes in your favour. You would lose the same if the currency you traded moves in the opposite direction you wanted it to.

The general idea behind Forex Trading becoming more open is that the forex market itself is now more open and transparent. It is the most liquid market in the world. Your local wealth becomes worthless against any other currency.
